1. Who can Enter
1.1. To be eligible to enter the prize draw, participants must:
1.1.1. be aged 18 or over; and
1.1.2. have completed the purchase of a Sheilas' Wheels Home Insurance policy online using GoCompare (www.gocompare.com) during the entry period (see clause 2).
1.1.3. Individuals who are named on a policy but are not the policyholder are not eligible.
1.2. The prize draw is only open to individuals who reside in England, Scotland and Wales.
1.3. Employees of the Promoter (see clause 8.1 of these Terms and Conditions), their families, its affiliated companies, distributors, agents and anyone professionally connected with the administration of the prize draw are excluded.
1.4. One entry per eligible policy.
1.5. The prize draw is not open to esure policyholders.
2. Entry Period
2.1. The prize draw will be open from 00:01 on 04/04/2023 and closes at 23:59 on 04/05/2023.
3.1. Eligible participants will automatically be entered into the draw provided their policy is still in force at least 21 days after its start date.
3.2. The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify entries which it considers do not comply with these Terms and Conditions, any participant who it reasonably believes has interfered with the fair running of this prize draw, any participant that has provided inaccurate or incomplete information when purchasing their insurance policy and any participant that has failed to pay premium when due.
3.3. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid entries including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age, and other relevant details of a participant.
4.1. There will be one winner who will be selected within 31 days of the closing date of the prize draw
4.2. The winner shall be selected in accordance with Clause 6. The prize shall be a refund of the premium and insurance premium tax payable for the policy and any optional extras product purchased from Sheilas' Wheels at the same time as the policy. Where a customer has selected a monthly payment option the refund shall also cover interest payable. The refund will only apply to the cost of the first twelve months of a policy and any optional extra product.
4.3. The value of the refund will be capped at a maximum of £1,000.
4.4. If the winner has paid for their policy in one lump sum they will receive the refund in one lump sum. The refund will be paid to the card that was used to purchase the policy.
4.5. If the winner is paying for their policy in monthly instalments they will receive a refund in respect of those instalments that have been paid. It will be paid to the account which has the Direct Debit in place. The balance of the prize will be set-off against the unpaid monthly instalments.
4.6. If the winner has paid for their policy in one lump sum and cancels their policy within 12 months of its start date they will not be entitled to any refund of premium on cancellation.
4.7. If the winner is paying for their policy in monthly instalments and cancels their policy within 12 months of its start date they will not be entitled to receive a cash payment in respect of any unused refund.
4.8. The refund cannot be applied to any additional amounts payable if the customer makes a changes to their policy or if they wish to purchase an optional extra product after they have bought their policy. The customer is responsible for paying any additional premium that is due.
4.9. The refund only applies to the first 12 months of the insurance policy and any optional extra purchased at the same time. If the policy or optional extra is renewed after the first 12 months the premium due will be payable by the winner.
4.10. The refund cannot be applied to any charges due to esure Services Limited for making a change to or cancelling a policy or optional extra product.
4.11. The prize is as described, it is non-negotiable and non-transferable. The prize cannot be exchanged for any alternative option.
4.12. The winner will be contacted by email within 35 days of the prize draw closing.
4.13. The Promoter will attempt to contact the winner up to four times over a period of 14 days. If the winner does not respond the Promoter may select a new winner from a list of reserves drawn at the original time.
4.14. The winner may decline their prize.
5. Data Protection and Publicity
5.1. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. The Promoter shall seek consent from the winner in order to do the following:
5.1.1. promote/announce the winner on the Promoter’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter) by using the winner’s name and if possible tagging in the winner’s social media profiles; and/or
5.1.2. in accordance with clause 6.2, provide details of the winner to those who request it; and/or
5.1.3. request testimonial comments from the winner for the Promoter to use for marketing purposes.
5.2. The Promoter will process participant’s personal data in accordance with its Privacy Notice: www.sheilaswheels.com/privacy
6. Selecting Winners
6.1. The winners of the prize draw (who will be chosen from eligible entries) will be randomly selected by a computerised randomiser.
6.2. Subject to clause 5.1.2, the last name and county of the winner will be available on request to those sending a stamped, addressed envelope to Win your premium back prize draw, Marketing, Sheilas' Wheels, The Observatory, Castlefield Road, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 0SG, within 3 months of the closing date.
7.1. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this prize draw or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
7.2. The Promoter shall not be liable or responsible for any expenses incurred by the winners in relation to this prize draw.
8. The Promoter
8.1. The Promoter is esure Services Limited, which is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 02135610) whose registered office address is at The Observatory, Reigate, Surrey RH2 0SG, and are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (reference number 312063.
8.2. You should contact us at [email protected] for any queries relating to the prize or this prize draw, stating your full name and policy number.
9.1. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
10. Amending these terms and conditions
10.1. The Promoter reserves the right, where necessary in order to continue the availability of this prize draw, to change the prize draw rules and these terms and conditions at any time. The Promoter will always have the most up to date terms and conditions on its website and in the case of a discrepancy between these terms and conditions and those on the website, the website terms and conditions will apply. Continued use of the website will constitute acceptance of the new rules and/or Terms and Conditions.
11.1. The prize draw and these terms and conditions are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.
