“Count the Pink Eggs” Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Who can enter
1.1. To be eligible to enter the Competition entrants will need to be a Sheilas' Wheels customer with an existing Sheilas' Wheels Motor, Multicar, Home or Travel policy.
1.2. A customer is defined as a main policy holder, excluding joint policy holders or named drivers.
1.3. The competition is only open to residents in England, Scotland and Wales aged 18 or over, excluding employees of esure Services Ltd and anyone professionally connected with the administration of the competition
2. When to Enter
2.1. The competition will close at 23.59 on 9 May 2019.
3. How to Enter
3.1. In order to enter the competition eligible participants must either:
3.1.1 Enter via Facebook: they must like and comment on the relevant competition post on the Sheilas’ Wheels Facebook page with their guess of how many pink eggs are shown within the image.
3.1.2 Enter via email: they must send an email to m[email protected] with their name and guess of how many pink eggs are shown within the image.
3.2. No purchase is necessary. A maximum of one entry per person is permitted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
3.3. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, by or via third parties or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that participant’s entries into the competition in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the promotion, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
3.4. The Promoter (see clause 9 of these Terms and Conditions) reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify entries which it considers do not comply with these terms and conditions or any participant who it reasonably believes has interfered with the fair running of this competition.
3.5. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age, and other relevant details of a participant.
4.1. There will be one winner who will be selected at random by an automated computer programme within 5 working days of the closing date of the competition.
4.2. The prize for winning the competition will be one cheque for £2,000 for the first eligible entrant selected.
4.3. The winner will be contacted within 14 days of the competition closing. The Promoter will attempt up to four contacts over 14 days to ask for the winner’s full name, policy number, email address, county and postal address to send the prize to. You must provide accurate contact details on notification of winning. If you do not respond with this information within 14 days of the Promoter first contacting you, then you will no longer be eligible for the prize. If the winner is no longer eligible, a new winner will be selected from a list of reserves drawn at the original time.
4.4. The prize will be despatched by recorded delivery within 14 working days of the winner confirming their contact details.
4.5. The prize is as stated and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash, goods or services. The Prize is not transferable.
4.6. By entering the competition, entrants accept these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
5. Data Protection and Publicity
5.1. By entering this competition you consent to the Promoter’s and its agents’ collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your prize.
5.2. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. By entering the competition, you agree that the Promoter and/ or its agents may contact you in relation to the competition, including:
5.2.1 Promote/announce the winner on our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter) by using the customer's name and if possible tagging in to the customer's social media profiles
5.2.2 Request testimonial comments from the winner for us to use in marketing
5.3. The Promoter will process entrant’s personal data in accordance with its Privacy Notice: https://www.sheilaswheels.com/privacy
6. Competition Rules
6.1. The competition winner will be randomly selected by a computerised randomiser from all correct eligible entries.
6.2. The last name, initials and county of the winner will be available on request to those sending a stamped, addressed envelope to Easter Edition Newsletter Competition, Marketing, Sheilas' Wheels, The Observatory, Castlefield Road, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 0SG, within 3 months of the closing date.
6.3. We reserve the right to change the competition rules and these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we do so, we will always have the most up to date terms and conditions on the Website and in the case of a discrepancy between these terms and conditions and those on the Website, the Website terms and conditions will apply. Your continued use of the website will constitute your acceptance of the new rules and/or Terms and Conditions.
7. Liability and Indemnities
7.1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
8.1. The competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law. England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
