A parking area in a Hampshire business centre has been named the worst place to park in Britain.
The dubious accolade was awarded to the Alton Business Centre after financial services firm Aviva asked the public to take part in a month-long, nationwide vote.
Budding entrepreneur Jamie Dickinson, 18, from Lower Froyle near Alton, said: "This truly is a nightmarish space. Being sandwiched between two walls and the two other sides blocked by cars meant my car was cornered in and I was trapped after a meeting."
Other farcical spaces to be nominated included Putney, next to the rowing club, Blackpool's West Street car park and the Horsefair lot in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
The public also nominated whole car parks as being particularly poor, with facilities at Gatwick and Stansted airports and hospitals in Sunderland, Sheffield and Llandough all receiving votes.
