Thieves smashed a car window before taking more than 100,000 pounds of jewellery, police in Hampshire have reported.
A car parked on a private driveway was broken into before high-value rings, individual diamonds and a laptop computer were stolen last weekend.
Police are hoping to be able to track down the thief when they try to offload the rings.
PC Simon Quickfall urged dealers in the jewel trade to contact police if they are offered rings or gems for sale, as well as telling people to be on the lookout for discarded boxes which the goods came in.
