Motorists in Scotland are being warned of road hazards as much of the country remains covered in snow amid widespread blizzards and continuing cold weather.
Dozens of accidents occurred over the weekend and several sport fixtures had to be cancelled due to icy roads and severe winter.
Temperatures were below the freezing point in many parts.
Lower-lying areas saw 2cm to 3cm of snow, while higher ground received 5cm to10cm. Temperatures fell to minus six degrees and minus eight degrees on the Ayrshire coast and in Eskdalemuir, Dumfriesshire.
Black ice on the main A90 route was a constant trouble to motorists in the Grampian area, while the A939 was shut at the Lecht.
More than a dozen road accidents were reported to fire crews in the North East.
Driving conditions on the M74 in Lanarkshire were also affected by snow.
The Scottish Premier League match between Hamilton and Dundee United at New Douglas Park was cancelled due to the snow, along with several Division One matches.
Brendan Jones, a senior forecaster with MeteoGroup, the weather division of the Press Association, said: "It's been particularly cold, and tonight it's going to be just as cold, with temperatures dropping again to minus six degrees in places.
