Luxury cars stolen in ram-raid

Thieves have driven away 10 luxury cars, including a Lamborghini and a Porsche, after a ram-raid incident at an industrial unit in Birmingham.

The high performance vehicles were stolen after the offenders initially used a truck to break open roller shutters at the industrial estate.

The Lamborghini alone is priced from between £127,000 and £210,500.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "It is not clear whether the cars - including a Lamborghini, a Porsche and several Mitsubishi Evolutions - were driven away individually or taken on a transporter.

"It is unclear at this stage whether the vehicles had been specifically targeted or had fallen into the hands of opportunist thieves."

Three of the cars stolen in the raid, including the Lamborghini, were later found abandoned and have been recovered by police.

Forensic tests are now being carried out on the vehicles, the spokesman said.
