BMWs big danger to insurance according to Poll

BMW owners are the biggest danger to drivers car insurance no-claims policies, according to a poll which found they had a lack of concentration on the road and an unawareness of other motorists.

A study for a used car website found people with BMWs were named as the nation's worst drivers. The report also listed being aggressive, rude, prone to road rage and tailgating as among their poorest habits.

Compucars.co.uk spoke to just over 1,000 people and found that owners of Fords and Volvos were voted second and third on to the worst-driven list.

Van drivers and young people topped the worst motorists, rather than type of car, category. They were closely followed by taxi drivers, older people and mothers on the school run.

Compucars.co.uk group marketing manager Rob Queen said: "BMW drivers,unfortunately, are left tarnished with the same brush, due to a minority of bad drivers. Just saying thanks for being let through a space by another driver will score several brownie points and takes no effort at all."
