If you’ve got a Sheilas’ Wheels car insurance policy, take a moment to read through the information that is specific to you when driving abroad:

Insuring your car

Sheilas’ Wheels car insurance operates in the United Kingdom and during sea journeys between its constituent parts.

It also provides you with the MINIMUM cover you need to travel to:

  1. any country which is a member of the European Union; and
  2. any other country for which the Commission of the European Community is satisfied that arrangements have been made to meet the requirements of EC Directives on insurance.

But remember, your Sheilas’ Wheels UK car insurance usually provides less cover than you have here in the UK - and is often equivalent to Third Party Only cover.

Green Card

If you’d like to request a Green Card, contact us with the details of your trip and we can arrange for one to be sent to you.

Be sure to plan ahead. Though it should only take 3-5 days to receive your Green Card, it’s worth contacting us at least two weeks in advance so we can process the paperwork and get your documents to you in good time.
